The "Japanese American Incarceration: Civil Liberties Lost" Hands-on-History trunks will be available in our lobby for visitors to explore for #BremertonFirstFriday, May 6th through the end of May as part of our Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month programming. The learning trunks were originally created for educational use in public schools to enhance related unit studies in the classroom.

This 2-trunk set addresses, through the use of artifacts, the Executive Order 9066 and the forced removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII.
