Join Bainbridge Island Race Equity Advisory Committee, Living Arts Cultural Heritage, and other partners for a community march on the downtown Winslow sidewalks - from BIMA to The Pavilion. Bring signs uplifting your commitment to Truth-Telling and Reconciliation and/or highlighting Black history.

After the march, join us for a screening of Since I Been Down, followed by conversation with the film's director, writer, and producer, Dr. Gilda Sheppard, and with Taking Education and Creating History founder, Kimonti Carter. Join LACH, BIMA, and partners for an online program exploring the critical role of past, present, and future truth-telling and reconciliation in our efforts to move race equity forward in institutions, communities, and ourselves. The program will open with a live streamed circle of local youth, their mentors and teachers, and Dr. Gilda Sheppard, focused on breaking up the school-to-prison pipeline.
