Veterans Memorial Monument Re-dedication

American Legion Post 172 Memorial Day Activities on May 30th will include a re-dedication of the Veterans Memorial Monument and a celebration of the Colin Hyde Post 172's 80th anniversary. The public is invited to join any or all of these activities.

• 11:00 a.m. Veterans Memorial Monument Re-dedication at Bainbridge High School, next to the athletic field. Opening by post members and Scout Troops 1564 & 1804. Guest speakers: Joe Deets, Mayor, City of Bainbridge; Peter Bang-Knudsen, Superintendent, Bainbridge Island School District; Kristina Rodgers, Principal of Bainbridge High School.

• 12:00 p.m. Memorial Day Observance. Post Members, Scout Troops 1564 & 1804; Music provided by Navy Band Northwest.

• 12:20 p.m. Taps & Adjournment.

Following the Veterans Memorial Re-dedication, the 80th anniversary celebration of Colin Hyde Post 172 will be held at Legion Hall from 12:50 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Legion Hall is located at 7880 NE Bucklin Hill Rd, Bainbridge Island.
