Each year, the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island puts on their auction and rummage sale in early July! Monies from the Rotary's auction and rummage sale go towards community grants for local nonprofit organizations, large community projects, international humanitarian projects, college scholarships based on community service, and career/technical scholarships based on career objectives.
Celebrate the beauty and craftsmanship of local, handmade art in August and December! In these free, self-guided art shows on Bainbridge Island you will see regional artists jury in to the summer and winter art shows, and sell their work at Island artists’ studios and historic community halls. When you visit the studios, you’ll see some works in progress, raw materials, tools, and perhaps some inspiration mixed in with a little sawdust.
For one day in September, members of the Bainbridge Island Modern Quilt Guild hang beautiful quilts all along the buildings on Winslow Way, Madrone Lane and at the Winslow Green! Each quilt has a tag that describes who it was made by, who quilted it, and a brief description of the design.
