Every late July, you can enjoy a three day festival with live music and dancing under the gazebo, alder-smoked salmon dinner, a wine and beer garden, shellfish delicacies galore and the star: geoduck! While there you can stroll down the road to George Kenny's Chainsaw Carving School!.

Our Armed Forces Day Parade held in Bremerton is the largest and longest running Armed Forces Day Parade in the nation. There is a Heroes’ Barbeque that provides a free hot dog, chips and soda to all active-duty, reserve, retired and veteran service personnel. Parade includes all branches of the military, police and firefighters, youth organizations, dignitaries, commercial businesses, car clubs and more. The Bremerton Chamber of Commerce coordinates the activities of this parade.

Art In The Woods is a unique, self-guided studio tour throughout the North Kitsap area in November. The second weekend of November each year visitors are invited into the actual studios to see and purchase current work, view demonstrations of the processes and visit with the artists.

Each year, the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island puts on their auction and rummage sale in early July! Monies from the Rotary's auction and rummage sale go towards community grants for local nonprofit organizations, large community projects, international humanitarian projects, college scholarships based on community service, and career/technical scholarships based on career objectives.

Celebrate the beauty and craftsmanship of local, handmade art in August and December! In these free, self-guided art shows on Bainbridge Island you will see regional artists jury in to the summer and winter art shows, and sell their work at Island artists’ studios and historic community halls. When you visit the studios, you’ll see some works in progress, raw materials, tools, and perhaps some inspiration mixed in with a little sawdust.

For one day in September, members of the Bainbridge Island Modern Quilt Guild hang beautiful quilts all along the buildings on Winslow Way, Madrone Lane and at the Winslow Green! Each quilt has a tag that describes who it was made by, who quilted it, and a brief description of the design.

Held over Labor day weekend, the Blackberry Festival takes over Bremerton's picturesque waterfront with live music from their main stage and tons of vendors stretched all along the boardwalk! Additionally, at 2nd & Washington there is the "Chalk Art Gallery" where artists of all ages are invited to come and do their best chalk art! While enjoying this event, go up topside to 4th & Pacific to visit the Wayzgoose Kitsap Arts Festival!

With the Downtown Bremerton Association as the primary promoter, this annual event is supported and sponsored by many generous downtown businesses and groups. Starting at 6th Street & Pacific Avenue, the parade heads south on Pacific to Fourth Street and turns right to head down to Park Avenue. It's a blast!
