New to BARN or Jewelry Making?

Have you seen classes that look interesting and wondered how to get started making jewelry? If you’ve never made jewelry, or have made jewelry and haven’t been in the Jewelry and Fine Metals Studio at BARN yet, you can find out where to begin by reading the FAQ below.

Q. I’ve never made jewelry; how can I find out what it’s like?

A. Sign up for one of our upcoming “Try it” classes

Q. I want to learn how to make jewelry; how do I get started?

A. Sign up for our Introduction to Jewelry: Skills Class to learn how to use the Jewelry Studio tools safely. After completing this class, you will gain a Skills Card and be able to attend Open Studios. Introduction to Jewelry - Skills Class

    Q. I had classes a long time ago and/or I haven’t been making jewelry recently (2 or more years ago).

    A. Sign up for our Introduction to Jewelry: Skills Class to learn how to use the Jewelry Studio tools safely. After completing this class, you will gain a Skills Card and be able to attend Open Studios. Introduction to Jewelry - Skills Class

      Q. I actively take classes and/or am making jewelry and/or am working in fine metals now (within the last 2 years).

      A. Email the Jewelry Studio programming coordinator to set up a Skills Assessment. jewelry.programming@bainbridgebarn.org

        Q. I am interested in volunteering in the Jewelry Studio; how can I get involved?

        A. Email the Jewelry Studio lead to find out what volunteering opportunities are available. jewelry.lead@bainbridgebarn.org
